Potomac Nannies and More treats nannies with the same respect as we do the family. As they care for children, nannies have a strong impact on their charges, often times for life. What job could be more rewarding and important? We know that nannies are intelligent, sensitive people with a lot to offer the children in their care.

Always there for you if you need support or advice, we will never pressure you to stay in a job that you are unhappy with or to take a job you do not want. Our experience help us to identify warning signs of a difficult or even possibly abusive family, and we will not knowingly work with families like this.

::Positions, salaries and hours of nanny jobs::

The nanny salaries range from $450-$750 per week for our Potomac based positions. The salaries vary depending on your work experience and education. Live-out nanny positions are generally Monday through Friday, eight to ten hours daily. Live-in nannies work either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday for ten to twelve hours per day. Live-in nannies are provided with a private room and a private bathroom. Some live-in nanny jobs have a separate guesthouse.

::Job Information::

Potomac Nannies and More has a reputation by placing nannies who love children with families who respect them. This is our major passion and focus. The nanny jobs that we offer are for the “professional “ nanny and are the best paying positions in the Washington DC area.

To be considered for a nanny job, you must have a minimum of two years of child-related work experience. You will need to have excellent, verifiable references. Work as a teacher or other child related work experience may qualify you. A high school diploma and some college are a plus. Nannies need a drivers license and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

::Responsibilities and tasks of a nanny job::

The nanny’s responsibilities are focused on the child. In the job you will only be responsible for child-related chores and very light housekeeping, such as tidying up the kitchen. Other job requirements may be discussed on an individual bases with your employer.
